zoomerangs girlsZoomerangs
is off to a great start! We have about 100 Zoom kids registered in the program and they range in age between 3 and 12 years. The kids are well on their way to achieving their goal of completing the Firecracker 5K on June 30th.

In just four weeks, the kids have completed over 500 miles combined!! Check out some of the cool photos of the GRR Zoomerangs kids.

We meet every Sunday at 3:30 PM at the Glastonbury High School track.

We are always looking for volunteers and we encourage GRR members to come out and see what we are all about. We guarantee that these kids will put a smile on your face and inspire you to find your happy pace!

For more info about volunteering at the Zoomerangs program, contact organizers Kate Rich or Ray Long at zoomerangs@glastonburyriverrunners.com.

Zoomerangs Starts this Sunday- Still Time to Sign Up!

Our first Zoomerangs practice is this Sunday, Sep 23 at 3:30pm – though, we ask that you arrive between 2:30-3:15pm to pick-up your kids’ t-shirt and give them time to customize it with markers that we provide. We like for the kids to write their names on the front of their shirts so we can cheer them by name. Continue reading “Zoomerangs Starts this Sunday- Still Time to Sign Up!”

Zoomerangs Kids Running Program

If your kids like to run, we’ve got a fun program just for them: Zoomerangs!Zoomerangs Kids

This program was started by the Fleet Feet West Hartford crew 8 years ago. Last Spring, the Glastonbury River Runners brought the program to the Smith School for those of us East of the River! This non-competitive “open track” program is designed for kids aged 4-13. It gives them the opportunity to experience running in a fun, friendly atmosphere where the motto is “Will run for worms” (gummy worms, that is!). Continue reading “Zoomerangs Kids Running Program”
