Congratulations to Margaret Rorrio for her winning fancy dress costume at the Dogfish Dash 5K in Delaware on September 25th, 2011 – organized by Dogfish Head of strange beer fame.
The theme was recycling… so here’s Margaret dressed in a selection of things thrown out of car windows in Connecticut.
“Everything on the costume is authentic,” says Margaret, “I pick it up from running….I ran my worst 5k ever, it was crazy hot and my costume weighed about 10lbs. I wanted to lay down at mile 4 and nap…But my costume took first place and I got the meet the owner of Dogfish…Oh, and Dogfish served free beer for 3hrs on race day;) Yum!”

The team will be treated to Elite level benefits on race day including a complimentary hotel stay, free admission to the Pasta Supper and ING Hartford Marathon apparel. Additionally, each personal story will be profiled on the ING Hartford Marathon web site, Jumbotron at the start of the race as well as along Pratt Street in Hartford, which will be turned into ‘Elite Street’ for the two weeks leading up to race weekend.”
